Ranger 5 Star Advantage

There's a reason why Rangers are the most popular fishing boats on the water. Actually, there are several reasons why. We call them the 5 Star Advantage. Five surefire reasons why a Ranger is your best choice when looking for a new fishing boat.

Each star represents a key selling point . . .

Quality
  • Skilled, Dedicated People
  • Highest Grade Materials
  • Strongest Construction & Warranty
  • Superior Fit & Finish
  • Legendary Attention To Detail

Still built one at a time, a Ranger boat offers a level of quality that is unsurpassed by any other boat on the water. From materials, to the manufacturing process, to the final signature inspection, each Ranger boat is a shining example of meticulous craftsmanship and commitment to excellence. And, it's evident throughout.

In a Ranger, boxes, livewells and other parts are permanently bonded to the hull and deck. Then they are insulated with our legendary foam flotation--a design feature so strong it literally fuses the deck and hull together with Ranger's unique interlocking construction, giving it a one-piece feel. Patented pultruded transoms feature precisely-controlled glass-to-resin ratios for maximum strength and durability. Pultruded fiberglass gussets link the transom, stringers and other internal components for a skeletal network of uncompromised strength. Steering systems are performance-matched to the model and engine make for fluid, easy handling. And unlike cheap plastics, Ranger's gelcoat finished compartments feature fiberglass with stronger, quieter lids.

Quality also comes in comfort. Ranger premium-grade marine seats are hand-built layer by layer for ergonomic comfort and durability . . . featuring all-weather tuck and roll designs that are sewn and detailed with tailored precision. Marine grade carpeting is plush to the touch, yet weather- and wear-resistant and treated to provide protection against UV rays as well as the harmful effects of gasoline and oil. Model for model, dollar for dollar, no other boat on the water can match the quality of a Ranger.

Performance
  • Smoothest, Driest Ride
  • Solid Handling
  • Total Design Responsiveness
  • Optimum Fishability
  • One-Piece Feel

Talk is cheap. Performance is what counts and when it comes to delivering more and better performance on the water, Ranger shares no equal. Our exclusive Rite-Track Keel optimizes boat control, keeping more of the hull in the water and less of it exposed to the wind. And, our patented geometric hull designs are designed to work with the water rather than against it, using flared bow contours to move water out and away--giving you responsive handling and a smooth, dry ride.

Our exclusive transom design with integrated engine set-back virtually eliminates backwash from sudden stops. High performance steering systems deliver precision handling and fingertip control. From holeshot to top end speed, you will appreciate the on-the-water performance of Ranger.

Superior performance of Ranger can also be found on deck. When the trolling motor is down, a Ranger's stability is like standing on your living room floor. In fact Ranger coined the term "fishability" years ago to describe the fishing aspect of total performance. Ergonomic cockpits are designed for maximum legroom and easy interaction with gauges and electronics. Lids are molded to perform as solid units with no noise or flex. Recirculating livewells repeatedly condition and replenish the water with oxygen. Decks are wide, open and uncluttered . . . designed with the fisherman in mind, by people who live and breathe the sport each and every day.

Innovation
  • Pioneering Vision
  • Enhanced Engineering
  • Design Leadership
  • Optimizing Technology
  • Perpetual R&D

Ranger did not become the fisherman's #1 choice by playing second fiddle to anyone. Our design and engineering team is continually challenging itself to build a better boat, and our accomplish- ments are both numerous and noteworthy.

Ranger employs a process called closed cavity bag molding (CCBM) to produce fiberglass, which is extremely strong yet relatively lightweight. We also invented and patented the first aerated livewells. Our pultruded transom is an industry first, providing superior strength and durability over conventional designs. The set-back design of our engine mount makes backwash on sudden stops a thing of the past. Upright, level flotation set new standards of safety. And in 1999, Ranger received the first ever "protected design" hull copyright registration from the U. S. government.

Fact is, since 1968 Ranger innovations have been defining and redefining how fishing boats are measured . . . in terms of quality . . . performance . . . and customer satisfaction.

Safety
  • Upright, Level Flotation
  • Detailed Finish
  • Distinctive Features
  • Purposeful Design
  • Advanced Construction

Quality, performance and innovation aren't worth much if they come at the expense of safety. At Ranger, we pride ourselves on building boats that not only perform, but give your customers the highest level of peace of mind. And we spare no expense to do so.

No other fishing boat offers the flotation features that a Ranger does. Virtually every empty cavity is packed with high-grade flotation foam. Independent test have shown that you can punch multiple holes in a Ranger hull and it will remain afloat--compare that with other boats filled with flotation only in the visible areas. And Ranger's broad beam designs provide tremendous stability, even when leaning over a gunnel. When it comes to safety and peace of mind, Ranger delivers.

Resale Value
  • Customer Satisfaction/Pride of Ownership
  • Legendary Quality
  • Safety/Peace of Mind
  • Unparalleled Performance
  • Legacy of Innovation

There come a time in every fisherman's life when it's time for something new. A bigger boat. A more responsive boat. More bells and whistles. Here's where Ranger really shines.

Independent surveys show that a Ranger boat holds more of its initial value than any other manufacturer's boat. That means your customer will recoup more of his investment, through resale or trade-in, when he buys a Ranger. And chances are he'll buy another Ranger boat as well.

THE FIVE STAR ADVANTAGE
Highest quality. Better performance. Continuous innovation. The industry standard of safety. Higher resale value. Add it all together and you get the Ranger 5 Star Advantage.
